Albert Daniel “Dan” Hafer, Jr., 60, of Blandon, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 18, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Christina Lynne (Ploshay) Hafer.
Born June 30, 1957 in Reading, he is the son of Jean Louise (Dieter) Hafer of Alsace Township and the late Albert Daniel “Sonny” Hafer, Sr.
He was a 1975 graduate of Oley Valley High School.
Albert proudly served in the United States Army, ending his four year career as a sergeant.
He was employed by Ryder Fleet Products in Douglassville as a truck driver.
Albert enjoyed gardening, yard work, playing quoits, and traveling . He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved telling jokes, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and wrestling with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother, Albert is survived by his children; Natasha Nichole, wife of Seth Hoffmann of Reading, Ashleigh Anne, wife of Frank Ramos of Exeter, Nicole Christina Manley of Reading and Carole Anne Manley of Oley.
Also surviving are his siblings; Steven Leonard Hafer of Mertztown, Pamela Jean Wagaman of Laureldale, Brien Keith Hafer and his wife Bonnie of Oley, Todd Allen Hafer of Joplin, Missouri and Andrew James Hafer and his wife, Linda of Mohrsville.
He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Madison, Benjamin, Ethan, Drake, Lucian, Riley, Chase and Landin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:30 am at New Life Bible Fellowship Church, 2960 W. Philadelphia Ave, Oley, PA 19547. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior in the church.
Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
