Christopher Michael Hartman

Christopher Michael Hartman, 56, of Wyomissing, passed away October 2, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a son of Richard L. and Sandra J. (Essick) Hartman of Wyomissing and a brother of Patrick R. Hartman of Palm Springs, California.

Chris attended Wyomissing Schools and graduated from the Hill School in 1978, where he played guard on the varsity football team and defense on the lacrosse team.

He also graduated in 1983 from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Chris worked 30 years in the family business, Clover Farms Dairy, Muhlenberg Township, as its marketing director.

His lifelong friends from little league, junior high and high school formed a loyal group of Eagles Fans, with tailgating trips to Philadelphia for home games and trips to Joe B’s house for away games.

Chris was an avid animal lover. He rescued three kittens, raised and enjoyed them for many years.

The Hartman family would like to express their sincere thanks to Chris’s friends and the family’s friends who have shown love, offered prayers and gave support and encouragement throughout Chris’s difficult journey. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

The family would also like to thank the nurses and aides at the Phoebe Home who performed compassionate care.

A memorial fund has been established with the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League at the above address.
