Edward D. Boyer, 59, passed away on September 20, 2016 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia after a courageous five year long battle against cancer.  He was the loving husband of Cynthia L. (Brumbach) Boyer and they shared 35 years of marriage together.
 
Born in West Reading, Pa on November 26, 1956, he was the son of the late Luther L. Boyer and Betty J. (Spayd) Boyer of Alsace Township as well as the brother to Steven Boyer of Pike Township and Randy Boyer of Rockland Township.  Eddie graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1974.  He was employed for over 30 years with Metropolitan Edison Company. He began his career as a lineman then worked in the EC&M Departmentand in the storehouse.
 
Eddie is survived by his two daughters, Kylene M. Jones of Exeter Township and Kaitlyn Boyer, wife of Carlo Pucciarmati of Bristol Borough, Bucks County. He was also the adoring grandfather of Evianna and Trevyn Jones.
 
Eddie loved the outdoors, hunting, woodworking, playing cards and spending time with family and friends at his Tioga County cabin, “Lake View Lodge”.  He will be remembered for his kind and genuine heart, eagerness and dedication to help others and his sociable, fun-loving personality.
 
A public viewing will be held on Friday, September 23rd from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley, Pa 19547.  Services and burial will be held privately in Spies Cemetery, Alsace Township.
