Eli Knabb Hoch

Eli Knabb Hoch, 98, a resident of Keystone Villa @ Douglassville and formerly of Oley died October 15, 2016.

He was the husband of the late Mildred Britzenhoff (Spohn) Hoch.

Born August 1, 1918 in Oley, he was a son of the late Gideon C. and Minnie H. (Knabb) Hoch.

Eli was a graduate of Oley High School.

He was employed with Boyertown Casket Company and subsequently, Boyertown Planing Mill as a molder for many years.

Eli served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

An avid woodworker, Eli made hundreds of clocks and other woodwork items for his family and friends.  He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, both in Europe and the United States.

Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Services will be private on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Salem U.C.C., 307 Covered Bridge Road, Oley, PA 19547.  Burial will be in Oley Union Cemetery, Spangsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church, at the above address.
