Ella M. (Wisser) Strittmatter

Ella M. Strittmatter, 99, formerly of Temple, died January 12, 2018 in her daughter’s Hillsborough, NJ residence.

She was the widow of Carl E. Strittmatter.

Born March 9, 1918 in Lenhartsville, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Franklin and Helen Mary (Moll) Wisser.

Ella was a member of the former Epiphany Lutheran Church, Temple.

Surviving is her daughter: Carla Crow (Strittmatter), widow of Howard Crow of Hillsborough, NJ; her two grandsons: Matthew (wife Breanne) and Alexander (partner Jacquelyn) and three great grandchildren (Faley, Caleb, Kendall).

Other survivors include her brother Carl Wisser of Virginville and sister Barbara Stump of Lititz plus many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers: Joseph Wisser of Hamburg, Herbert and Donald Wisser of Lenhartsville, Harold and Russell Wisser of Fleetwood, Murrill Wisser of Kutztown, John Wisser  and her two sisters: Helen (Wisser) Sonon of Orwigsburg and Lilian (Wisser) Smith of Hamburg. 

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10-11 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
