Elva H. (Heffner) Bechtel

Elva Heffner “Espie” Bechtel, 87, of Oley, died August 23, 2016 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born August 11, 1929 in District Township, she was a daughter of the late Elmer F. and Jennie E. (Hunter) Heffner.

She was employed as a seamstress by Osan Manufacturing for 39 years.

Elva was member of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis.

Surviving are her son, Ronald L. Bechtel of Oley; a brother John E. Heffner of Barto; and two sisters Arlene Rothenberger of Fleetwood and Myrl Heffner of Barto.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Melvin and Earl Heffner.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
