Jean Livengood Bieber, 89, formerly of Wyomissing, died March 9, 2015, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

 

Her husband, Albert W. Bieber, whom she married in 1977, died May 19, 2000.

 

Born December 9, 1925 in Rowan County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Annie Lou (Brady) Livengood.

 

She was a 1942 graduate of Boyden High School, Salisbury, NC and a 1946 graduate of Catawba College, Salisbury, NC, with a major in Education and minor in Music.

 

Jean was a 4th grade teacher for 25 years with Ontelaunee School District and Leesport School District, retiring in 1986.

 

She was a member of Kissinger Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

 

Jean was a lifetime member and past officer of the Women’s Club, and a member of the Sewing Guild.   She was also a lifetime member of the Fleetwood Grange.

 

Surviving are her four sons: Lewis E. Everline, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; James H. Everline of Reading; Timothy A. Everline of Canton, OH and Kevin A. Everline of Wilton Manors, FL.

 

Also surviving is her brother, James H. Livengood of VA.

 

There are also 8 grandchildren: Marnie, Jimmy, Kristen, Blair, Keith, Ryan, Jared, and Alex; and two great-grandchildren: Sadie and William.

 

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Phoebe Berks, 1 Reading Dr., Wernersville, PA 19565.  A viewing will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel.  Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA  22312.
