Paulette Fern (Goss) Shuker

Paulette F. Shuker, 72, of Muhlenberg Township, died May 22, 2017 in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center.

She was the wife of Jerry R. Shuker, who she married July 16, 1966.

Born in Reading, PA on February 13, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Wesley E. and Fern (Gehris) Goss.

Paulette was a 1963 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She was a beautician for a number of years with L’Officiel, Laureldale.

Paulette was later a co-owner of Jerry’s Sandwich Shop in Wyomissing and Muhlenberg Township for 23 years, before selling the stores in 1994.

Two years later, Paulette and her husband opened a Jerry’s Sandwich Shop in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware before retiring in 1998.

She loved playing the “slots” at the casinos.

Paulette is also survived by two sons: Matthew S., husband of Tiffany L. (Battastini) Shuker of Muhlenberg Township and Jeffrey R., husband of Nicole (Saso) Shuker of Cape Coral, Florida and loved spending time with her five grandchildren: Cole, Deanna, Shawn, Aaron and Jack.

There is also a brother, Wesley “Butch”, husband of Linda Goss of Temple and several nieces and nephews: Tema, Judy, Jameson, Tiffany, Nicole and D.J.

She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette (Goss) Barnett.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
