Renate C.J. (Habighorst) Lubben

Renate Carla Juliana (Habighorst) Lubben, 88, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away March 12, 2018 at Tower Health - Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the widow of Gerd F. T. Lubben who died April 29, 2008.

Born June 17, 1929 in Bremen, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Carl Habighorst and Johanna Fischer.

Renate was employed with David Crystal for many years, retiring in 1994.

She was a member of Reading Congregation of New Apostolic Church, where she was an active member and sang in the choir.

Renate loved crocheting and baking; her baked goods will be sorely missed by many.

Surviving is her daughter, Ingrid J. W. (Lubben), wife of Joseph G. Fox, Jr. of Milford, Pike County.

Other survivors include her three grandsons: Tim, Eric and Christopher Breen and her three great grandsons, Adam, Zachary and Vincent Breen.

Renate was predeceased by her son, Gerd Peter Lubben who died September 11, 1996 and by her sister, Hannelore Iwitzki.

Services will be held Saturday, March 24th at 10 a.m. in New Apostolic Church, 6291 Perkiomen Avenue, Exeter Township. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
