Richard L. Hafer, 84, of Riverview Park, died April 16, 2018 in Reading Hospital; he was greatly loved by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was married October 6, 1956 to Bertha (Rimmen) Hafer, who died September 14, 2013.
Born April 7, 1934 in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Henry L. Sr. and Dorothy H. (Raifsnider) Hafer.
Richard was a master electrician; owning his own business, Richard L. Hafer Electricial Contracting for over 50 years, retiring in 2016.
He, along with his wife, also operated Rimmen Antiques where he was an antique dealer for over 20 years.
Richard was a United States Navy Veteran.
He is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl L. Cipolla, life partner of Jennifer Withers of Muhlenberg Township and Darla R., wife of Carl A. Buller of Muhlenberg Township.
Other survivors include four grandchildren: Tresa (Cipolla), wife of Damian Szurgot; Dominic, husband of Amanda (Meck) Cipolla; Anthony, husband of Brooke (Horst) Cipolla and Corey, husband of Lauren (Drey) Buller and four great grandchildren, Anthony, Alivia, Adrian and Averie.
Richard was a brother to eight siblings: Henry Jr., Clara, Lewis, Harold, Morris, Eugene, Norman and Joyce.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Stitzel Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
