Virginia Mary Dziki

Virginia Mary Dziki, 94, of Muhlenberg Township, died May 25, 2017 at Columbia Cottage, Wyomissing.

She was the wife of Joseph Edward Dziki to whom she was married August 7, 1948.

Born May 20, 1923 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas S. and Mary A. (Gierot) Analavage.

Virginia was employed as a cashier with Acme Markets for 25 years, retiring in 1983.  She loved working with people and completed a course in customer relations through Cornell University on June 28, 1974.

During World War II, Virginia worked on airplanes at Jacobs Aircraft Engine Company in Pottstown where she met many wonderful people through her experience.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively after retirement.

Surviving are her two daughters: Cynthia A., wife of James J. Snyder of Muhlenberg Township and Christine S., wife of Robert F. Shugars, Jr. of Muhlenberg Township.

Also surviving is her sister, Maryann Kirkpatrick of Wernersville.

Other survivors include her three grandsons: Christopher D., husband of Kara L. Lambi, Matthew A. Shugars and Nathan L. Shugars and two great grandchildren, Robert J. and Remington P. Lambi.

Virginia was predeceased by her son, Joseph E. Dziki, Jr., who died on August 24, 1985 and four siblings: Dorothy Bricker, Irene Wernicki, Edward Analavage and Robert Analavage.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township.  A viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
