Zachary Michael Spadafora, 25, died unexpectedly November 30, 2016 in his Shillington residence.

Born April 4, 1991, in West Reading, he is survived by his mother, Christina L. (Savage) Ochs and step-father, William J. Ochs of Wyomissing and his father, John M. Spadafora and step-mother, Sally (Allensworth) Waybright of Shillington.

He was a 2009 graduate of Twin Valley High School.

Zach was employed as a maintenance supervisor with Metropolitan Management Group, Wyomissing since 2010, last working on Tuesday.

He had an infectious smile and was always happy. 

Zach loved doing anything outdoors: hiking, climbing or being at the beach.

He was an avid skateboarder and also enjoyed import cars, craft beer and working with his hands.

Zach’s family and friends were the most important thing to him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three siblings: Kaylin M. Spadafora and her daughter Rylee L. Spadafora; Lindsey A. Ochs and Nicole E. Ochs all of Wyomissing.

He is also survived by his girlfriend, Amy Andrules of Robesonia; paternal grandmother, Gloria Jean (Votto) Klopp of Sinking Spring and grandfather, Gerald L. Ochs of Shillington.

There is also an uncle, Chris L. Savage of Sinking Spring and a cousin, Emily S. Savage of Denver.

Zach was predeceased by his maternal grandparents; Larry E. Savage and Sharon A. (Shamus) Helbig.

Services will be held Monday, December 5th at 7:00 pm in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.

A viewing will be held Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Common Ground Recovery Ministry, (with the hope of helping others with substance abuse), c/o Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
