Anna May (Kroner) Askman, 96, of Wernersville, and formerly of Reading, died October 12, 2018 at Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center, Wernersville.
She was married to Philip Rosberg Askman, who died December 28, 2008.
Born December 15, 1921 in Riegelsville, Bucks County, Anna was a daughter of the late Aaron Stanley and Celestine Eliza (Moyer) Kroner.
Anna was a graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology, Philadelphia, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
She was a member of “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities” in 1943.
Anna was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Reading.
Surviving are her three sons: Jan P., husband of Shelby (Enterline) Askman of Laughlin, NV; James R., husband of Tere (Polanco) Askman of Acton, ME and Joel N. Askman of Reading.
There are two grandchildren, Jan's daughter, Suzanne Ferguson of Miami, FL., and Jim's son, Noah Askman, of Hamilton MA. surviving; plus two great grandchildren, Savannah Ferguson and Ellery Kate Askman.
Anna was preceded in death by her sister, Anita C. (Kroner) Griffaton, and brother, Robert L. Kroner.
Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in Durham Cemetery, Durham, Bucks County.
