Barbara Jean (Walls) Shirey

Barbara Jean Shirey, 70, of Oley, passed away June 13, 2018 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was the wife of Kenneth Gene Shirey, to whom she was married to for 47 years.

Born February 23, 1948 in Wayne, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Allwin Allen and Berniece Mabel (Grainger) Walls.

She had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, loved going to the beach and attending family gathering, but most of all she loved her grandchildren, Mason and Makenzie. She loved watching their sporting events they were involved with and cherished every minute of it.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her two children: Steve M. Shirey of Oley and Stacy M., wife of Sean Coombs, of Exeter. Also surviving are her two grandchildren Mason Shirey and Makenzie Coombs.

In addition, surviving is her sister Linda wife of George Care of Birdsboro.

She was preceded in death by her siblings; David Walls and Marian Baker.

A viewing will be held Tuesday June 19th from 6-8pm at the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A second viewing will be held Wednesday, morning from 10-11 am at New Life Bible Fellowship, 2960 West Philadelphia Ave, Oley, PA.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday June 20th at 11 am at New life Bible Fellowship, 2960 West Philadelphia Ave, Oley, PA. Burial will follow in Friedens Cemetery.
