Bertha Marie (Brown) Tothero

Bertha Marie (Brown) Tothero, 91, formerly of Rockland Township, passed away February 4, 2019 at Kutztown Manor, Kutztown.

She was the widow of Warren Kenneth Tothero, Sr., who died December 20, 1999.

Born March 12, 1927 in Baumstown, she was a daughter of the late James and Katherine Brown.

Bertha was employed as a packer with Penn Dutch Cookies, Fleetwood for over 20 years, retiring in 1977.

Surviving are her five children: Doris Ernest of Spring Township; Warren K. Tothero, Jr. of Kutztown; Sandra M. (Tothero), wife of Richard D. Brown of Muhlenberg Township; Nancy J. (Tothero) Heckman of Reading; and Donna M. (Tothero) Conrad of Reading.

Other survivors include her sister, Betty Pfautz of Exeter Township; 12 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

Bertha was preceded in death by an infant son, William; two grandchildren, Timothy and Lisa; and by four siblings, James, John, Samuel and Hannah.

Services will be held Saturday, February 9th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow at Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
