Christine Alice (Swoyer) Heffner

Christine Alice Heffner, 78, formerly of Exeter, passed away on November 26, 2018 at Mifflin Center. She was the wife of the late Ernest Heffner who passed away October 30, 2009. 

Born in Leesport, Pennsylvania on December 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Steward Wilson and Thelma Rebecca (Drumheller) Swoyer.

Christine was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Penn High School.

She was employed by Avon for over 30 years.

Christine was a dedicated member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oley.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bus trips with her husband, reading and dining out. In addition Christine was passionate about decorating for the holidays and loved her outside yard decorations.  

Surviving are her son; Randall S. husband of Kimberly L. Heffner of West Lawn and her daughter; Theresa A. wife of John Strunk of Fredericksburg.

Christine is also survived by her grandchildren: Shawn Heffner, Collin Wanner and Alexis Wanner.  

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Steward L. and Larry R. Swoyer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday from 10-11 am , at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1076 Memorial Highway,  Oley.  Funeral Service will be held at 11am. Burial will follow at Friedens Cemetery, Oley. 

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1076 Memorial Highway, Oley, PA 19547, or Autism Society of Berks , P.O. Box 6683, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
