Daniel J. Kelly

Daniel J. Kelly, 57, of Muhlenberg Township, died August 7, 2018 in Tower Health / Reading Hospital.

He was married June 25, 1988 to Sandra Jane (Pietrobono) Kelly, who died September 19, 2017.

Born in Reading, PA on December 11, 1960, he was a son of Catherine M. (Heenan) Kelly of Cumru Township and the late Joseph D. Kelly, who died September 15, 2015.

Daniel was a 1978 graduate of Reading High School.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Daniel was employed 17 years as a tool and die maker with Brentwood Industries, Reading, last working Friday.

He was previously employed 23 years in the same capacity with Advanced Tool and Design, Sinking Spring.

Daniel was the ultimate perfectionist, loved to tinker and could make and fix anything.

He also enjoyed watching dirt modified races, cutting the grass and watching FOX news.

Daniel is also survived by his son, Brian D. Kelly of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include his four brothers: Robert A., husband of Carol (Farmer) Kelly of Ephrata, Lancaster County; James B. Kelly of Perry Township and his companion, Robin I. Carter; Joseph K Kelly of Perry Township and his companion, Joan T. Campbell, and John C., husband of Danielle L. (Sallade) Kelly of Wyomissing.

He will also be missed by his good friend, Gizmo.

Viewings will be held Friday, August 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 11th from 9:00 – 10:00 am in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 11th at 10:30 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, Reading, PA 19605.

Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
