Doris Lorraine (Rickenbach) Brightbill

Doris Lorraine (Rickenbach) Brightbill, 71, of Rockland Township, died December 29, 2018 at Tower Health – Reading Hospital, West Reading.

She was the wife of Bruce David Brightbill, to whom she was married June 24, 1967.

Born January 3, 1947 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Jacob and Doris Lorraine (Long) Rickenbach.

Doris was a 1965 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed with J. & Winston Radiology, Reading as a medical transcriptionist for 20 years.

An avid gardener, Doris enjoyed growing flowers.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her two children: James R., husband of Lori (Dunkel) Brightbill of Maidencreek Township and Leigh J. Brightbill, wife of Terry Howe of Bloomington, IN.

Other survivors include her two sisters: MaryEllen Boscelli of Birdsboro and Colleen Schulze of Amity Township.

There are also two grandsons.

Doris will be greatly missed by her all of her family and her dear friends.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Oley is in charge of arrangements.
