Elizabeth "Betty" Jane (Voelker) Snell

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane (Voelker) Snell, 89, of Keystone Villa, Douglassville and formerly of Sheidy Avenue, Muhlenberg Township, went home to the Lord on March 19, 2018.
Born in Reading, PA on April 24, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Adam P. and Eva M. (Albert) Voelker.
She was a 1946 graduate of Central Catholic High School.
Betty was employed as a payroll clerk for a number of years with Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, retiring in 1993.  She spent much of her retirement years doing volunteer work and caring for her family.
She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Cumru Township.
Betty is survived by two children: Carol A. (Snell), wife of David Stettler of Galena, Maryland and David G., husband of Dawn (Kalbach) Snell of Robeson Township.
She is also survived by three siblings: Joseph, husband of Betty Voelker of Robeson Township; Gerald, husband of Barbara Voelker of Lansdale and Virginia, wife of Daniel Kelly of Millmont.
Betty was the loving grandmother to two grandchildren: Kyle D., husband of Steffany Snell of Muhlenberg Township and Keri R., wife of Christopher Schutz of Birdsboro and two great grandchildren: Declan K. Snell and the late Mireya E. Snell.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Mary Stump and husband Wayne.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, March 23rd at 4:00 pm in Grace Fellowship Church, 622 Old Lancaster Pike, Reading, PA 19607.                                                        Friends may visit with the family starting at 3:00 pm until time of service in the Church.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church at the above address.
