Gene Albert Hillegass, 70, passed away June 15, 2018 in his Reading residence.

Born in Oley, PA on August 12, 1947, he was a son of the late Albert and Eva Florence (Roth) Hillegass.

Gene was a graduate of Oley Valley High School.

He was employed by Lucent Technology as a Electronic Tech.

Gene served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his two children: Wendy S. wife of Kurt Lorah of Reading and Stephen Gene Hillegass of Oley.

Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren.
