George Curtis Cobb, Jr.

George Curtis Cobb, Jr., of Reading, died April 28, 2018 in Penn State Health / St. Joseph.  He was also known as Curt or G.O. to his friends.

He was the husband of Karen Ann Reynolds.

Born February 10, 1958 in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late George C. Sr., and Florence (Cunningham) Cobb.

George attended Exeter Senior High School.

He worked in food production most of his working life.

George loved playing basketball, listen to music and going for long runs.

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan.

George was the rock of the family and would give anyone he met the shirt off his back.

He is also survived by three children: Jarrell C., husband of Glenda C. (Collier) Cobb of Concord, NC; Shantel Reynolds of Reading and Jaron Cobb of Reading.

Other survivors include six siblings: Willie, widower of Willa (Mosley) Cobb of Reading; Rev. Bernice (Cobb), wife of Pastor Leroy A. Bailey of Exeter Township; Patricia A. (Cobb) Allen of St. Petersburg, FL; Frances Cobb-Sandoval of Wake Forrest, NC; Rose Mary Cobb of Reading and Kathryn (Cobb) Amaker of Reading.

There are also five grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 am in True Faith Independent Holiness Church, 1017 Old River Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to services, in the Church.
