Helen E. (Moyer) Youse

Helen Elizabeth (Moyer) Youse, 90, a resident of Phoebe Berks, and formerly of Muhlenberg Township, died April 29, 2018 at Reading Hospital & Medical Center.

She was the widow of Daniel W. Youse who died March 3, 1998.  They had been married for 47 years.

Born November 13, 1927 in Hamburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert Cleveland and Katie Elizabeth (Moyer) Moyer.

She was a 1945 graduate of Hamburg High School.

Helen was employed as an office manager with Tamdot Homecare for 40 years, retiring in 1989.

A loving aunt, Helen enjoyed playing basketball, boating, doing counted cross-stitch and reading.  She also loved her Philadelphia sports teams.

She was a member of the Lioness Club of Muhlenberg Township and Reading Playground Association.

Surviving is her brother, Paul S., husband of Esther Moyer of Hamburg; nine nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by four brothers: Kenneth, Robert, Arlan and George Moyer.

Services will be held Thursday at 12 noon at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. -12 p.m.  Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
