John William Mauger, Jr.

John William Mauger, Jr., of Alsace Township, passed away September 16, 2018 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Linda Eileen (Moyer) Mauger and they were married for 36 years.

Born June 4, 1941 in Reading, he was a son of the late John and Bernice (Kehs) Mauger.

He was a 1960 graduate of Reading High School and later proudly served his country with the United States Navy.

John was a self employed electrician and owned Energy Resource.

He was a member of St. John Hill United Church of Christ in Boyertown.

In his spare time John enjoyed skiing, bowling, hunting and gardening.

He was a member of the Flying Duthmen Ski Club of Reading.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his son: Brian Christopher husband of Victoria Lynn Mauger of Oley.

Other Survivors include his brothers; David Mauger of Ruscombmanor Township, Martin Mauger of Reading and his sisters; Carol Roth of Reading and Marcia Ayala of Laureldale.

He was preceded in death by his Sister Suzann Wagner.

A Viewing will be held Monday from 10 – 11 am in St. John Hill United Church of Christ, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown , PA 19512.

A funeral Service will be held Monday at 11 AM  in St. John Hill United Church of Christ, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown , PA 19512. Burial will follow in Hill Church Cemetery, Boyertown.
