Joyce Loretta (Brown) Himmelreich

Joyce Loretta (Brown) Himmelreich, 88, formerly of Oley, passed away September 26, 2018 at Penn State Health – St. Joseph, Bern Township.

She was the widow of Ned L. Himmelreich who died March 17, 2008.

Born February 25, 1930 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Harry Denton and Loretta Ellen (Ray) Brown.

She was a member of Ark Bible Chapel, Boyertown.

Joyce was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.

She loved poetry and in 2008 had her very own poem published.

Surviving are her three children: Bonnie Anthony of Wolfeboro, NH; Robert, husband of Tara Anthony of Stony Creek Mills; and Stanley Anthony.

Additional survivors include her six grandchildren: Sara Reid Lussier, Robert Reid, III., Bobby Anthony Shane Anthony, Nevin Anthony, and Jesse Anthony; and nine great grandchildren.

There are also three siblings she is survived by: Richard Brown of Reading, Barry Brown of Reading and Jerry Brown of Aurora, Virginia.

Joyce was predeceased by five siblings; Sandy Brown, Shirley Brown, Carol Brown, Stan “Chub” Brown and Harry Brown.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. 

A viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 10-11am at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
