Miriam Joyce (Garman) Drupp, 75, of Laureldale, died January 14, 2019 at Penn State Health – St. Joseph, Bern Township.
She was the wife of Edward Richard Drupp, to whom she was married in 1988. Miriam was preceded in death by her first husband, Andres Arroyo Riviera.
Born July 16, 1943 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles Ralph and Ruth Jenny (Balthaser) Garman.
Miriam was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Glenside. She was on church council and enjoyed being part of “Circle of Friends” who helped the Greater Reading Food Bank.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her four children: Donna L., wife of Darryl Pettigrew; Jeffrey A., husband of Jodi L. Arroyo of Cumru Township; Michael A. Arroyo of Reading and Michelle A. Althouse of Shartlesville; her stepchildren: Edward A. Drupp of Fleetwood; Christine D. Meitzler of Wyomissing; Anne M. Krupnick of Mohrsville and Tabitha Ferkin of Ohio.
In addition, surviving is her sister and best friend, Dolores D. Wells of Reading, and her brother, Charles R. Garman of Denver, Lancaster County.
There are also 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Miriam was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Arroyo, Jr. who died September 27, 2008, and by an infant daughter, Robin Lynn Arroyo.
Miriam will be sadly missed by her dog, Cupcake.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 26th at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 1301 Luzerne Street, Reading, PA 19601.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her husband, Edward Drupp to assist with final expenses.
