Miriam M Mast

Miriam M. Mast, 85, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, died August 10, 2018 in her Oley 
Township residence.
She was the wife of David M. Mast. 
Born in Elverson, Chester County on September 2, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Elam and 
Rebecca (Kurtz) Mast.
Miriam, along with her husband, owned Mast Mower Service, Oley for twenty years, before retiring in 
1989. Upon retirement, she and David moved to Coudersport, Potter County, before returning to Oley 
in 2005.
Miriam was an active member of Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, Blandon.
She was previously employed as a chicken farmer in Strausstown, Frystown and Dauberville.
She was an extremely generous and giving woman, who loved gardening and mowing lawns.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children: Kenneth E. Martin, companion of Cathy 
Trump of Oley; Elmer J., husband of Dianne L. (Zimmerman) Martin of Leesport; Donna J. (Martin), wife 
of Stephen D. Weiss of Oley; Glen D. Mast of Wyomissing; Dale L. Mast of Oley and Jill A. (Mast), wife of 
Michael D. Snyder Sr., of Strausstown.
Miriam is also survived by nine grandchildren: Amber, Jody, Kathy, Justin, Stephanie, Jessica, Michael Jr., 
Christina, and Victoria, and 14 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters: Della (Mast), widow of Mark Bollinger of Lititz; Ruth (Mast), widow 
of Amos Redcay of Ephrata and Erma (Mast), wife of Elmer Brown of Rising Sun, Maryland.
She was predeceased by six siblings: Edward Mast, Stephen Mast, Lloyd Mast, Ira Mast, Kathryn (Mast) 
Weaver, and Martha Mast.
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 16th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Trinity Bible Fellowship, 220 Main 
St. Blandon, PA 19510. Service and a time of fellowship will be held immediately afterwards.
Burial will be private in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Bible Fellowship at the above address.
