Patricia Ann "Pat" Himmelberger, 82, passed away January 8, 2018, in her Muhlenberg Township residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of Barry Pierce Himmelberger Sr., to whom she was married for over 40 years.

Born May 29, 1935, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Allison R. and Alta E. (Weaver) Epler.

Pat was a graduate of Mohnton High School.

She was employed in the office at Dana Corp. for 18 years before starting her own businesses, La Petite Dog Grooming, West Reading, and Pat's Candies at Leesport Farmer's Market. She was also a vendor at various flea markets including Leesport Farmer's Market and many flea markets in

Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

Pat was a member of Berks County Dog Training Club for 50 years. She was a well-respected dog trainer (levels CDX,UDX and UD), advocate and shower of her personal dogs, having won many awards, in both the United States and Canada.

An avid world traveler, Pat's heart and vacation home were in West Ocean City, Md., where she and Barry spent many years enjoying the view from their deck, watching the horses, bay and beach.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her three step-children: Marie S. Himmelberger, widow of Sharon Warnock, Lois A. Warner, partner of James Gemmell, and Barry P. Jr., husband of Melissa

Himmelberger.

Other survivors include her step-grandchildren: Joshua Kantner, Karla Kantner, John Putt, Steven Warnock and Aleda Howard; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Pat was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Epler.

Services will be held Saturday, January 13th, at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
