Robert Albert Shirey, Jr.

Robert Albert Shirey, Jr., 71, died June 14, 2018 in his Earl Township residence.

He was the husband of Judy Ann (Readinger) Shirey, whom he married October 29, 1968.

Born in Robeson Township, PA, on October 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert A. Shirey, Sr., and Grace Alice (Quinter) Shirey.

Robert was a 1964 graduate of Exeter High School.

He was a member and past treasurer of the Birdsboro American Legion, Post #626 and was a member of both the Birdsboro and Pikeville Sportsman Clubs.

Robert enjoyed deer hunting, camping, mowing lawns and cutting wood.

He is also survived by four children: Alvin R. Shirey, companion of Andrea Haring of Barto; Sandra Ann (Shirey) Mertz, companion of John Rodland of Douglassville; Michael Allen Shirey, companion of Brenda Lindsey of Bechtelsville and Timothy L., husband of Melissa A. (Petrillo) Shirey of Birdsboro.

Other survivors include a sister, Linda Shirey, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Robert was predeceased by two siblings: Grace and John.

At Roberts request, services will be held privately.
