Shirley L. (Brown) Reidel

Shirley L. (Brown) Reidel, 84 of Laureldale passed away to be with the Lord May 25, 2018 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. 

She was the wife of Lawrence E. Reidel who passed away February 19, 1992. 

Born June 27, 1933 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John A. and C. Betty (Stitzel) Brown. 

Shirley was a Reading High School graduate and a very active member of Rosedale UCC Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. 

She was an avid reader and loved cats. 

She was employed with Reading Bible House, and subsequently, Berks Title Insurance Company, and most recently, Western Electric, where she was a secretary. 

She is survived by her sister, Myrna D. Brown and her brother, Frederick R. Brown, with whom she resided.

Several dear cousins and their families are also surviving.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A viewing will be held from 10-11.  Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township, immediately following the service.
