Tammy Elizabeth Young-Flores, 55, of Reading, died November 8, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.
She was the wife of Adan Flores-Castanéda, to whom she was married October 15, 1999. They spent 31 years together.
Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Leo George Young and Elizabeth Ada Albright.
Tammy was employed as a bus driver with BCIU for over 10 years.
She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her four children: Edward C. “Eddie” Cruz of Reading; Anita C. Flores of Spring Township; Laura S. Flores-Mitchell, wife of Corey R. Mitchell of Muhlenberg Township; Adan F. “Neno” Flores of Reading.
Also surviving are her three siblings: Todd Young of Exeter Township; Zena Young of Reading and Tracy Young of Leesport; and her half-siblings, Krystal Welch, Kathy Croiner and Kevin Young, all of Excel, AL.
There are also seven grandchildren: Sebastian, Angel, Giselle, Carmelo, Éva, Isabella and Jasiah.
Tammy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Belen Flores, in 1990.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret’s R.C. Church, 925 Centre Avenue, Reading. Burial will be at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
