Cousin Tommy was my favorite. We were born the same year. When my Mother would visit our Grandma Cochran, or his Mom, Joyce, we would pal around together. It was always good times. I got to spend a lot of nights at his home. One time around 1966, age 10, we helped a friend of his deliver the Reading Times right after a snowstorm. We pulled his red wagon through two to three feet of snow. Nobody expected us to, but at that age we had fun doing it. We didn't notice the cold and had fun delivering 115 newspapers. Everyone got one those days, at 10¢ an issue. We split about $2.20, and spent it on candy. Those were idyllic times. He was always positive and tough. I'll always miss you, Tommy, and I know you're in a better place now. My sympathies to his immediate family and everyone else who knew him. He was one of the best!!

Steve,

I am sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking with your dad about cars at the girls birthday parties. He was always fun to be around and am glad I had those encounters, no matter how brief.

A life lived to the fullest. From driving race cars, skiing from helicopters, swimming with whale sharks...to his love of sea turtles. But above all else a heart bursting with love for his family and friends...as Maggie said....his "framily". Love Love Love.

My deepest condolences to Maggie and all family and friends, what a guy, huh ? Tom was my inspiration to hit the beach so to speak. I went to Akumal just to meet him in August of 2014 after gaining his friendship online on LG. We share a passion of fishing; not just any fish but the tastiest fish, the cut throat trout........I understand he visited my area pursuing our other passion of snow skiing. Wish I coulda shown him around the hill back in the day. Thanks for your friendship Tom. I am and all of us are a better person for having to know you...... tight lines and I'll still expect that rock be put in place when we meet again.....much love my friend.

Though I never got to meet Tom and Maggie, our shared love of turtles and Akumal was a strong bond, with many chats between Tom and I over our mutual love and "Snoopy". This man leaves a legacy that anyone would wish to do. He has had a huge impact on so many, and so respected by so many. Condolences and thoughts to the family. Remember all the great memories and that he got to share the love of his beautiful place just days ago. The Snoopy
