Verdella Arlene (Martini) Bator

Verdella A. Bator, 97, of Muhlenberg Township, died in Berks Heim, where she had been a guest since October 4th.
She was married June 29, 1940 to William J. Bator, who died December 11, 1970.
Born in Hazleton, Luzerne County on July 13, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Ernesto and Nora (Fascinelli) Martini.
Verdella was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan M. (Bator) Shirk of Muhlenberg Township.
Verdella is also survived by two grandchildren: Timothy J., husband of Karen L. (Snyder) Kolasa of Leesport and Matthew P. Shirk, husband of Erika M. Linderman-Shirk, of Mohnton.
There are also four great grandchildren: Annabella, Gabriel, Hannah and Abigail.
She was also predeceased by five siblings: Esther, Albert, Irene, Elizabeth and J. William.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 14th at 10:30 am in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, (Muhlenberg Township), Reading.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
