Wilda Fay (Paine) Hess

Wilda Fay (Paine) Hess, 89, formerly of Centre Township, died October 11, 2018 in ManorCare Health Services, Inc., Muhlenberg Township.

She was the wife of Fred Leo Hess, who died November 8, 1996.

Born in Muhlenberg Township on July 25, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Harry L. and Nora (Bowman) Paine.

Wilda was employed a number of years as a top sprayer with the former Fine & Glass Shoe Factory, Reading.  She was later employed with Klein’s Motel, Temple and lastly at Temple Sportswear, before retiring.

She is survived by two siblings: Thomas W. Paine of Fleetwood and Vanetta J. Meals of Blandon.

Wilda was predeceased by nine siblings: Pearl, Jennie, Frohm, Violet, James, Norman, Myrtle, Nancy and Richard.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 16th at 11:00 am in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.

A viewing will be held Tuesday from 10:30 am until time of services.

Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
