Amy Dawson

Amy Ilene Dawson, 66, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, in her Boyertown residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Joseph Richard Dawson, Jr. with whom she shared 33 years of marriage.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her two children: Jacob C. Dawson of Colorado Springs, CO and Cheyanne P. (Dawson), wife of Gregory Horne of Drexel Hill, PA.

Also surviving is her grandson, Kai Horne, and her sister, Beth Ann  Miller of Royersford and nephew Patrick Miller. 

Born December 26, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Brimmer) Miller.

Amy was a 1976 graduate of Springford High School.

She was employed as a bookkeeper with USLI, King of Prussia, for over 40 years, retiring in 2018.

Amy was a member of Good Shepherd United Church, Boyertown, where she volunteered with the church treasurer.

She was past treasurer with Earl Township Athletic Association and enjoyed raising money for the Humane Society of Berks County.

Amy enjoyed four-wheeling, ice fishing, gardening, and traveling, especially to Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and The United Kingdom.  Her greatest passion, however, was watching her grandson.

Amy was beloved by her family and friends. They all knew her to be a loving, selfless, kind and caring person. Her warm and positive attitude will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday May 10, 2025, at 2pm at Good Shepherd United Church, 35 W Philadelphia Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the same location. A luncheon at the church will follow directly after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County.
