Barbara Kelly

Barbara Kelly passed away on December 31, 2024 at the Reading Hospital after a short illness.

Born in Reading on March 12, 1942, daughter of the late Chester Wisniewski and Mary (Szolewa) Wisniewski.

A graduate of Reading High School, she worked at Narrow Fabrics, American Bank, Community General Hospital and for the last 15 years before retiring as a case worker for Berks County Children and Youth.

Barbara took great pride in placing children with caring foster parents who eventually adopted.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong faith; love of reading and she enjoyed making wreaths and floral arrangements until her arthritis made her give it up.

She is survived by her son James Kelly husband of Linda Hagginbothom of Reading Pa. Her brother Stanley Wisniewski, and his wife Lorel of Falmouth ME. as well as two nieces, several cousins and dear friends.

Barbara has donated her body to science and has requested not to have a funeral.
