Betty Jane (Angstadt) Heck

Betty Jane Heck, 92, formerly of Blandon passed away March 12, 2024 at Keystone Villa. She was the wife of the late George Hiltebeitel and the late Harold Heck.  Born in Oley, PA, she was the daughter of Luther and Hilda (Snyder) Angstadt.  Betty was a 1949 graduate of Oley High School.  She was employed by Alsace School District as a teacher’s aide and was a devoted member of Friedens UCC Church, Oley.  She was a volunteer at the Keystone Blood Bank. Betty enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and canning.

Surviving are her children:  Debra Wetzel (Jerry) of Boyertown, Faye Mertus (Jeffrey) of Macungie and Julie Amburn of Tampa, FL. Grandchildren:  Nicole Rickard (Andrew), Richard Amburn and Sydney Amburn.  Great grandchild:  Emily Rickard.  Siblings:  Anna Yanos, Erma Miller, Janet Levan, Larry Angstadt and Curtis Angstadt.  Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane and siblings, Jean Hoffman and Thelma Bright. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 18th at 10am at Friedens UCC, 337 Main Street, Oley.  A visitation will be in the church from 9-10am, followed by a burial in Frieden’s  Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Friedens UCC, 337 Main Street, Oley, PA. 19547.  Online condolences, visit www.StitzelFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
