Carl M. Bieber, 90, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Melva M. (Brobst) Bieber, who died January 21, 2014.
Born in Fleetwood, PA on May 19, 1928, he was the son of the late George W.K. and Hettie L. (Bloch) Bieber.
Carl was a 1946 graduate of Fleetwood High School and later started his own business in 1954 on Main Street in Fleetwood, Carl Bieber Sewing Center, which remained open until his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church in Fleetwood.
Carl was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting and was a member of the Township Sportsmens Association.
He is survived by three daughters: Jann, wife of Christopher Buczewski; Lisa, wife of Mike Bickel; and Lori wife of Lee Noffsinger; and three stepsons - Rickie Zettlemoyer husband to Karen; Jeff Zettlemoyer, husband to Jane; and Mark Zettlemoyer, husband to Teresa.
Carl is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by ten siblings: Clara, Helen, John, Esther, Edna, George, Charles, Anna, Earl and Marguerite.
Services were private at the request of the family. Burial was in St. Paul’s Union Cemetery, Richmond Township.
