Carolyn Goldie (Ruth) Glick, 92, passed February 10 at Topton Lutheran Home. Born in Lehigh County, Carolyn was the daughter of Charles and Goldie E. (Mohr) Ruth and the second wife of the late Dr. Simon B. Glick, from 1953 until his death in 1976. Simon was a physician and staff surgeon from 1920 to 1952 at the former Community General Hospital, including serving as Surgeon-in-Chief. She was a graduate of Allentown High School and the Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing and was a nurse at Community General Hospital and the Reading Hospital. She had been an active member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, serving as president of the Women's Circle and participating in the quilting circle. Together with her husband, Carolyn supported the renovation of the Church's sacristy, for which she also embroidered the altar cloth and vestments. She was a member of Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her brother Clarence D., and sisters Lucille C. (Ruth) Hinkel and Naomi L. (Ruth) Goehring. She is survived by her stepson, Charles L. Glick, D.D.S., and his wife, Doris, of Temple, Pa. and three step-grandchildren: Benjamin R. Glick of Rio Rancho, N.M.; Florence A. (Glick) Kelly of Hampton, NJ, and Marion E.
