Catherine Marie (Heenan) Kelly

Catherine Marie (Heenan) Kelly, 94, passed away October 27, 2024 at Mifflin Center, Cumru Township.

She was the widow of Joseph Daniel Kelly, with whom she shared 63 very happy years.

Born December 14, 1929, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Francis Morris and Bernice Dorothy (Olinskie) Heenan.

Catherine was a 1948 graduate of St. Clair High School.

She was employed with Bell Telephone from 1948-1952.

Catherine loved being a homemaker, wife and mother. 

She is survived by four sons: Robert A., widow of Carol Kelly of Summerville, SC; James B., husband of Robin I. (Readinger) Kelly of Perry Township; Joseph K., husband of Joan (Campbell) Kelly of Perry Township; and John C., husband of Danielle (Sallade) Kelly of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include her 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition, she is survived by her three sisters, Beatrice Heenan, Dolores Brady, and Frances Strausser, all of St. Clair; and by her sister-in-law, Maryann Heenan of Pottsville. 

Catherine was preceded in death by her son Daniel J. Kelly; widower of Sandra Kelly; and by her brother, Joseph Heenan.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
