Charles “Chick” Francis Goodman

Charles Francis. "Chick" Goodman, Sr., 91 of Reading, PA, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 in the Reading Hospital
with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Madeline Catheryn (Reider) Goodman and they were married 
for 63 years.

Born in Pottsville on October 28, 1930, he was the son of the late Russell William and Edith A. (Jamitis) Goodman.

After graduating from high school Chick joined the United States Navy.

Chick was inducted into the shuffleboard hall of fame in 2009.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. Last working at Pep Boys retiring at the age of 80.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Debra Ann, wife of the late Michael A. Eckert, Kristine A, wife of Carl Krott and Charles F. Jr, husband of Beth A. Goodman.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sibling Vincent Goodman. 

Services will be held Friday, May 6th at 12pm at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605.  A viewing will be held from 11-12 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
