Christina Marie (Shinkus) Warczyglowa

Christina Marie “Tina” Warczyglowa, 74, of Cumru Township, died September 30, 2023, at Phoebe Berks, Wernersville.

She was the loving wife of John Michael Warczyglowa with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Born May 13, 1949, in Ashland, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth (Canavan) Shinkus.  She grew up in Girardville, PA.

Tina was a 1967 graduate of Holy Name High School.

She was employed as an elementary school teacher and subsequently a school principal with St. Paul's and then as a teacher with St. John's (La Salle Academy).  

Tina then worked as a real estate agent, until her retirement.

Tina always enjoyed seeing her students as adults and them remembering her and how to spell her last name.

One of the best experience Tina had, was traveling to Poland with her husband, son, brother and sister-in-law where they met their extended family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her son, Kevin John Warczyglowa of Cumru Township; her brother-in-law, Dave, and her nieces and nephews and their kids.

Tina was preceded in death by her brother, John Shinkus who died in 1992.

A Prayer Service will be held Friday, October 6th, at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
