Christine A. Sassaman

Christine A. Sassaman, 74, of Laureldale, died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on May 2, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born, October 19, 1946, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Betty V. (Weidner) Sassaman.

She was a 1966 graduate of Overbrook School for the Blind. 

Christine was employed as a medical transcriptionist with Community General Hospital for 30 years, and for St. Joseph Hospital for 2 years.  She retired from Medi-Type, Langhorn..

She was an active member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale, where she was a choir member for 27 years, and a former deacon.

Christine was an avid volunteer and enjoyed knitting prayer shawls and other items for the benefit of others.

Surviving is her sister, Patricia S. (Sassaman), wife of Leo Peters of Temple.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 10th at 10 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Road, Exeter Township.
