Cuthbert Lee Thompson

Cuthbert Lee Thompson, 92, of Temple, PA, died November 13, 2023 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the widower of Ouida-Marie (Kutz) Thompson, who died October 3, 2022.

Born November 9, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Dr. Morris H., and Elizabeth P. (Settle) Thompson.

Cuthbert Lee was a 1950 graduate of Kentucky Military Institute and a 1954 graduate of Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Cuthbert Lee was a Corporal in the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed as a chemist with Carpenter Technology, Reading for 30 years, retiring in 2000.

Cuthbert Lee was a Mason with the Puritan Lodge #740, Reading, PA.

He is survived by five children: Morris “Mark”, husband of Toni Thompson; Matthew L., husband of Rae Thompson; Laura, wife of Kevin Hostettler; Amy, wife of Greg Seibert; and Scott, husband of Julie Thompson, and three step-children: Robert T., husband of Jill M. Snyder; Richard T., husband of Teresa L. Snyder; and Steven R. Snyder.

There are also 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Cuthbert Lee was predeceased by a son, Joseph Lee Thompson and two siblings: Barbara J. Thompson, and Morris H. “Tim” Thompson, Jr.

Services will be held privately.  Burial will be in Kentucky.
