Darlene M. (Adams) Schaffer

Darlene Marie (Adams) Schaffer, 71, died March 13, 2023 in her Temple residence.

She was the widow of Scott M. Schaffer, who died May 31, 2022.

Born November 8, 1951, in Berks County, she was a daughter of the late George Henry Adams, II., husband of Joan Adams.

Darlene was employed in the service industry her entire career, having worked as a bartender and server at various establishments, including Iggy’s Restaurant, Lucky Star AA, and Northmont Fellowship Association.

She loved knitting and crocheting, was fond of baking and making candy, was an animal lover, enjoyed reading, and was most happy when she was traveling to Wildwood, NJ with her family.  

A coffee lover her whole life, she was also remembered for her love of peanut butter and pickle sandwiches.

Surviving are her two children: Jonathan J. Reifsnyder and Peace A. Reifsnyder, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There are also two stepchildren: Giana Schaffer and Corey Schaffer; two step grandsons, Aaron Schaffer and Steven Schaffer; and five siblings, Paul Adams, Stephen Adams, George H. Adams, III., Douglass H. Adams and Deborah (Adams) Harper.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22nd from 4-6 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605.
