Deborah Dee (Wallace) Lenart, 67, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 24,2023 surrounded by family in her Spring Township residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Reading, PA on January 29, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Albert R. Wallace, Jr., and Louise L. (King) Wallace.
She was the wife of Joseph Edward Lenart, Sr., whom she married January 27, 1973.
Deborah was a 1973 graduate of Reading High School.
She was an active member of Spring Valley Church, Muhlenberg Township and Adullam Ministries where she enjoyed volunteering in several capacities.
Deborah was employed for 25 years with the Bollman Hat Factory, Adamstown, Lancaster County, until her retirement in 2008.
She had a passion for helping anyone in need, especially the elderly. So much so, following retirement from Bollman's Hat Factory she pursued and received her Home Health Aid Certification. This allowed her to engage with and support numerous elderly people and their families in their time of need.
Deborah was the proud mother of a son, Joseph E. Lenart, III, husband of Alycia (Hoffman) Lenart of Spring Township.
She could always be found in the “stands”, with her husband Joe, as the fiercest supporter and fan of her three grandsons: Parker, Mason, and Gavin.
Deborah is also survived by six siblings: Dr. Mary Sue, wife of Louis Balducci; David E., husband of Carol Wallace; Judith A, wife of Robert C. Kulp; Michael R., husband of Lisa Wallace; Douglass B., husband of Daphne Wallace; and Rebecca M., wife of Kenneth Stark.
She was predeceased by two sisters: Diana K. Adams (1940-2004), and Karen L. Wallace (1945-2021).
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6th at 10:30 am in Spring Valley Church, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple, PA 19560. A visitation will be held in the Church, on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of services.
Burial will be held privately.
