Dennis J. Baylor, widower of Sylvia Baylor, passed on to a new adventure with their “Kiddo,” Amelia Ray, by his side. He lived with longstanding heart complications until age 73.
Dennis was born Dec. 12, 1949 to Howard and Thelma Baylor. He attended grade school in Hamburg and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in 1971. Employed in a wide range of engineering fields, he designed robotics, alternative energy and mass transit systems. After retiring he became a political activist and advocate for government reform, and he was the elected Auditor for Tilden Township.
Dennis enjoyed swimming; playing the lottery; day-drinking;“getting the most out of” casino trips with his wife; “pigging” with his best friend, Gene Stilp; protesting with his friends;going to court and building oddities – like kites, engines, structures, protest props and even his own eco-home. He was a proud “off-gridder” for 50 years and lover of nature. He will be missed for his perseverance, wisdom and incredibly quirky sense of humor.
