A faithful member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Donald generously gave of his time by volunteering on the church grounds, assisting with pot pie dinners, and helping wherever he was needed. He also volunteered with Helping Harvest and was an active member of the United Labor Council of Reading and Berks. He proudly served as Master of Ceremonies for many Labor Day parades.
Donald had a lifelong passion for gardening and landscaping, taking immense pride in cultivating beautiful flowers and maintaining his yard. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and college football and believed in making the most of every day. His generous spirit was evident to everyone who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and never hesitated to assist a friend or neighbor. Above all else, Donald cherished spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and were the pride of his life.
