Donna Marie (Shade) Rodriguez

Donna Marie (Shade) Rodriguez, 77, formerly of Lincoln Park and Wyomissing, died January 4, 2025 at Country Meadows, Wyomissing, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the widow of Rafael Rodriguez who died September 10, 2017.

Born October 8, 1947, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Richard E. and Rose M. (Intelisano) Shade.

Donna was a 1965 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a secretary with Pennsylvania Manufacturers for 5 years, and subsequently, Accounts Recovery Bureau, where she worked for 23 years, retiring in 2006.

Donna dedicated her life to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children: Lisa M. Lesko of Wyomissing; Brian P. McCarty, husband of E. Brooke of Parkton, MD; and Lori L., wife of Charles Ty Smith of Wyomissing.

Also surviving are her nine grandchildren: Carter Pries, husband of Pearl, Hunter Niedrowski, Ryan Lesko, Evan Niedrowski, Isabella Lesko, Collin Niedrowski, Tyler Niedrowski, Owen McCarty, and Austin McCarty; a step granddaughter, Valen Rongione; and a step great granddaughter, Lillian Hague  

She was also expecting her first great granddaughter, Addilynn Pries, who is expected any day.

In addition, she is survived by her sister, Virginia, wife of Peter Kostick of Spring Township.

Donna was preceded in death by her step grandson, Dylan Rongione on May 23, 2023.

Services will be held Monday, January 13th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m.  Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
