Doris Elaine (Wagner) Hartman

Doris Elaine (Wagner) Hartman, 89, of Muhlenberg Township, died May 26, 2019 in Penn State Health / St. Joseph.

She was married June 5, 1948 to Richard Howard Hartman.

Born in Reading, PA on August 25, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Henry Franklin Wagner and Sarah Annie (Hunter) Wagner.

Doris was a 1947 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Doris loved to play bingo.

She was employed for 15 years in customer service with Met-Ed, before retiring in 1975.

Doris was also a cashier and cafeteria aide at Riverview Park Elementary School, Muhlenberg School for several years.

She is also survived by two children: Jeffrey S., husband of Diana L. (Gaspari) Hartman of Muhlenberg Township and Cheryl E. (Hartman), wife of David R. Krepps of Rigby, Idaho.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Jarrod S. Hagenman; Jason M., husband of Kirby (Wickizer) Hartman; Jennifer L. Hartman and Chad D., husband of Karen (Kellam) Hagenman.

There are also eight great grandchildren: Levi Hartman, Mason Hartman, Paci Hartman, Kyan Hartman, Alexander Hartman, Benjamin Hartman, Alex Westing and Kelsey Westing.

She was predeceased by an infant brother in 1927 and by her sister, Ardell M. Artz in 1998.

Private graveside services were held Thursday, May 30th at 10:00 am in Spies Zion Cemetery, Alsace Twp.
