Doris Marie Wagner, 94 of Reading, passed away March 8, 2024 in Rittenhouse Village. She was the wife of the late William Richard Wagner, Jr.
Born July 15, 1929 in Lyons, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nevin Leroy and Mamie Elizabeth (Dietrich) Bennicoff.
Doris was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School and was employed by Beaumont, Heller and Sperling in advertising.
She proudly served her country in the United States Navy.
Doris was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the senior group.
She enjoyed crafts, reading and the Philadelphia Phillies.
She is survived by her brother: Terry, husband of Cindy Bennicoff of Birdsboro, a brother in law; Larry Mast of Reading and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Craig Richard Wagner, brother; Nevin Bennicoff Jr. and sisters: Mildred Geisinger and Marcia Mast.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 15th at 11am at the Stitzel Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA. A viewing will be held from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
A burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Twp.
